Prompt 'Guess'

A scattered mind reaches for answers in this fragmented poem that explores the beauty and struggle of uncertainty.

Today’s word prompt was “guess.” This poem dives into the fragmented nature of questioning, where each guess is a step forward, even in the face of doubt. With rhyming touches and reflective pauses, it weaves a story of progress hidden in uncertainty.

Where to start?
A shadowy caress—
questions linger,
truths suppress.

A coin spins—
endless, weightless,
caught between
a curse and a bless.

Fingers reach—
a fleeting guess,
touching nothing,
leaving less.

What if?
The mind digests,
patterns tangle,
a knotted mess.

And yet—
in every test,
in each false step,
a quiet progress.

Guess again.
The heart confesses,
hope ascends,
a fragile success.
